Testifying for the D.C. Archives. This year, FDCA intends to make these points at the city council's oversight and budget hearings. Our main interest is insuring the city has a coherent plan for the new Archives.
We are ask those who testimony to cover these points:
  • Support for the Archives Advisory Group
  • Focus on new Archives facility at UDC
  • Increased staffing for the Office of Public Records, particularly records management specialists to ensure compliance with existing laws
  • Hiring contractors to help the public records administrator to complete an inventory of all records regardless where held and prepare for the move to the new facility
  • Preservation of all items at Naylor Court and those held by the Library of Government Information
